Time seemed to be standing still. Korra had been sitting in the office for at least a half an hour now, and no one had said a word to her since she first came in. The only sound heard was the never-ending echo of the secretaries typing. A few other kids sat in the office with her, and one of them had seriously O.D.'ed on AXE body spray. No one said a word, and no one made eye contact. Everyone seemed to have forgotten her existence.
Right when she was about to leave while her sanity was still intact, the principal finally poked her head out of her office, stating that she was ready to see her now.
"Finally!" Korra sighed in relief. She got up and walked into the principal's office, her hands buried in her jean pockets.
"Have a seat Ms. Korra," the well-aged principal said, sitting down at her own desk.
Korra sat in the only available seat facing the principal.
"First of all Korra, I'm very curios about something," the principal went on, "Why have you come to enroll yourself alone? Why didn't your parents come along with you?"
"Well Mrs.…"
"Shimpleton."
"Shimpleton. Mrs. Shimpleton. It's a long story, too complicated, and ends with me coming to enroll by myself."
"Are you smart mouthing me?"
"Yes."
Mrs. Shimpleton let out a deep sigh and rolled her eyes. Another one of these students, she thought.
"Anyways, Korra, how old are you?"
"Seventeen."
"And the name of your last school was…"
"South Point High."
"And your reason for transferring to Bison High was…"
"I moved."
"Your grade point average at South Point?"
"3.0."
"Were you a good student?"
"Uh… Define good."
"Gladly. Were you ever suspended?"
"No."
"Any detention record?"
"I got detention a few times, but it wasn't my fault."
"Of course it wasn't." It wasn't as if the elderly principal hadn't heard that one before. "Are you now, or have you ever been pregnant?"
Korra's spine stiffened and her eyes grew wide. Did her soon-to-be principal seriously just ask-?
"W-What? No! What kind of question is that!?"
"A basic one. Have you ever fired a gun during school hours?"
"No!"
"Are you currently homeless?"
Korra fidgeted with her bracelet, uncomfortably. The carpet suddenly became very interesting.
"No," she mumbled.
"Do you have a criminal record of any kind?"
"No! God, what's wrong with you!? Or, well, maybe more like what's wrong with this school!? These questions are insane!"
"I have been principal of this school for decades, Korra. I can honestly say that the students here are some of the craziest you will ever meet in your life. Abandon all hope for the rest of your high school years to be normal if you wish to attend this school."
"Fan-freaking-tastic. Can I finish enrolling now?"
"I'm serious, you would not believe all the shenanigans that have gone on at this school in the years that I've been an educator."
"Probably not. Can I enroll?"
Unfortunately for poor Korra, there was no stopping Mrs. Shimpleton. A volcano of suppression that had been dormant for years was about to erupt. "First that emo kid came here and started moping around and getting beat up every week, and then that football playing kid started here and had a new girlfriend every week until he finally started seriously dating that volleyball player. Then the emo kid hooked up with this goth girl, and everyone started having sex. How do I know this? The volleyball player and the goth girl both got pregnant! To make matters worse, the boys apparently had sisters who came to the school the year the goth girl and volleyball player got pregnant. The football player's sister was a good student, but the emo kid's sister had mental problems! And she was a lesbian! A LESBIAN! Oh, I'm sorry, are you a lesbian?"
"Uh, no. Can I just enroll?"
"And guess what! Emo Kid's lesbian sister got pregnant! A lesbian got pregnant! I don't even know how that happened! She ended up with this Italian singer, and I don't know what happened to them!" The principal's words got quicker and voice became crazier the more she went on. "And to add to the fun, soon two more crazy students showed up! A boy who always had an arrow on his hat and a blind girl who liked to break the law! Arrow Hat and Football Player's Sister dated each other, but that's not the point! The point is that I have seen my fair share of crazy at this school! And it didn't just stop with them! Their kids came here too! I have had to deal with that crazy bunch, their children, and every other student in between ever since I became principal of this messed up school!" She relaxed herself and pulled a few loose strands of hair behind her ears. "And through it all I managed to keep my sanity."
Korra sat back further in her seat, trying to make herself as far away from Mrs. Shimpleton as possible.
"I just wanna enroll, lady," she piped up.
Mrs. Shimpleton took a breath to further compose herself.
"Yes, well, I'll have to run a scan of your former school records later, but for now all you have to do is sign this."
She pulled a small packet and a pen out from inside her desk drawer and handed it to Korra. Korra took the pen and packet from her and signed her signature at the bottom.
"Excellent," Mrs. Shimpleton grinned, "If all goes well with your records, you'll be able to pick up your schedule and start your classes as soon as tomorrow morning."
"Great," Korra mumbled, "This has been a very…. Weird experience."
She sat the pen and packet back on the desk and started to leave the room.
"Oh, and on your way out, will you please tell the boys who brought their fire ferret to school with them that I'm ready to see them now?" Mrs. Shimpleton asked, "You'll know who they are. They're the ones with the ferret."
"Uh, yeah, sure." She left the room, closing the door behind her.
Mrs. Shimpleton smiled slightly to herself. "Welcome back Aang."

Third person POV
"Hey dude! Thanks for saving me a slice." he said, taking a bite with his fork. He faced Katara, held out his hand and gave her a bright smile.
"Hey, I'm Haru! What's up?"
Katara, still bewildered at the interruption, shook his hand.
"Hey, I'm Katara. I'm assuming you're Zuko's friend."
"Yep! Me, him and Jet are best buds. Aren't we, buddy?"
Haru gave his friend a pat on the back, expecting a smile from his friend. Instead, Zuko glared at him. At that moment, Haru knew he was in trouble.

Sokka's POV
I saw another person getting up in front of me. It was the person I crashed into.
He looked really familiar.
Messy dark brown hair, slightly tanned skin, toothpick in the mouth...
I looked up and saw his friend, with bandages where his mustache used to be. What were they doing here?
The guy stood up and looked at me. We exchanged looks of confusion and blurted out the first thing that entered our minds.
"Jet!?"
"Sokka!?"
"What the hell are you doing here?" I asked, looking back and forth at Haru and Jet.
"What are we doing here? What are you doing here?" Jet re

Return
"Daddy!" squealed his youngest child as she ran down the gangplank and flung herself at him.
Zuko picked her up and grunted a little. "You're getting big, princess," he said putting her back down.
"I know! Did you notice I grew? Mommy said I did. Do you like my new dress? Uncle Sokka said it was like the one Mommy wore while traveling with Uncle Aang," Zuko was impressed at how fast his daughter was talking and could definitely tell that her dark blue dress was like the one he'd seen Katara wear while he was chasing her. "And I drew you a picture. Well I drew you a lot of pictures but I did this one yesterday and I wanted to give it

I couldn't wait for 2012, so I decided to write the preview for the sequel to Avatar In Real Life now. Please let me know what you think.
If you were a fan of AIRL, then you probably remember Mrs. Shimpleton as the recurring principal of Bison High School. I decided to keep her as principal in this series as well and to give her a more humorous roll this time around (if you remember anything about her character last time, you'll know that she was a bit of a prick).
I promise to update the Return to Bison High series frequently once The Legend Of Korra airs in 2012. If I fail to keep that promise, you are all allowed to beat me with an oar. Have a nice day.
