Mai and Zuko were playing with Zorron, trying to see how much he knew about his birthday.
“Are you getting a chocolate cake, or a vanilla cake?”, Zuko asked Zorron.
“Cocket!”, Zorron said.
“Are you gonna get a lot of presents?”, Mai asked.
“Yeah!”, Zorron said.
“Are you gonna eat a lot of candy?”, Zuko asked.
“Yeah!”, Zorron said.
“Do you know how old you are?”, Mai asked.
“No.”, Zorron said.
“You’re one.”, Zuko said.
He held up one finger.
“One.”, he said, “Can you say ‘One.’?”
“One.”, Zorron said.
“That’s right!”, Mai said, “How old are you?”
“One!”, Zorron said, holding up one finger.
“He’s a smart kid.”, Zuko said, “Where’s my watch?”
“Zorron flushed it, yesterday.”, Mai said.
“Oh yeah.”, Zuko said.
“Hungwee!”, Zorron said, “Keerweeo’s!”
“You want Cheerio’s?”, Zuko asked.
“Yeah!”, Zorron said.
“Do you want banana’s in your Cheerio’s?”, Zuko asked.
“Yeah!”, Zorron said.
“Do you want dog food in your Cheerio’s?”, Zuko joked.
“No!”, Zorron said, “Dat icky!”
“That’s icky?”, Zuko asked.
“Yeah!”, Zorron said, “Nanners!”
“Alright. Let’s go get you some Cheerio’s with bananas.”, Zuko said.
Zorron clapped and made happy noises, as Mai and Zuko took him down the stairs and to the kitchen.
“Keerweeo’s!”, Zorron said happily, as Zuko put him in his highchair, “Nanners!”
“Yeah, I know. You want Cheerio’s with bananas.”, Zuko said, getting one of Zorron’s plastic bowls and spoons.
“No!”, Zorron said, “Cocket!”
“You want chocolate for breakfast?”, Mai asked.
“Yeah!”, Zorron said, “Cocket!”
“No chocolate for breakfast.”, Zuko said, slicing bananas.
“COCKET!”, Zorron screamed.
“If you eat your Cheerio’s, you can have chocolate after breakfast.”, Mai said.
“Keerweeo’s!”, Zorron said.

Later that night

Zuko, Mai, Katara, Aang, Sokka, Suki, April, Azula, Sapphire, Hakoda, and Ursa were in the kitchen, singing happy birthday to Zorron.
“Happy birthday to you.”, everyone sang, “Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday, dear Zorron. Happy birthday to you.”
“Blow out the candle.”, Mai told Zorron.
Zorron spat on the small flame.
“I’ll give Zorron the piece that has spit on it.”, Zuko said.
“Cocket!”, Zorron said.
Once he got his cake, he immediately made a mess.
“Just like April on her birthday.”, Sokka said.
He turned to April. She was making a mess too.
“Yummy!”, she said, with a mouth and face full of cake.
“Who wants ice cream?”, Ursa asked, getting two things of ice cream out of the freezer.
April and Zorron freaked out.
“Get it here quick.”, Zuko said.
April and Zorron made an even bigger mess after they got their ice cream.
“We should clean them.”, Sokka said.
“Where are the wet-naps?”, Zuko asked.
“Our room.”, Mai said, eating cake.
Zuko and Sokka got the wet-naps, came back down, and cleaned up April and Zorron.
“I hope Sapphire doesn’t make huge messes like that when she gets older.”, Azula said.
“She will.”, Ursa said, “All kids make big messes.”
“Oh joy.”, Azula said, sarcastically.
After cake, everyone gathered in the living room to watch Zorron open presents.
“Peasants!”, Zorron said.
“This is from mommy and daddy.”, Zuko said, bringing over a big present.
Zorron ripped the paper off, revealing a little blue and red tricycle.
“Bip!”, Zorron said, trying his best to say ‘bike’.
“And here’s a helmet to go with it.”, Zuko said, handing Zorron a Spiderman helmet.
“Bip!”, Zorron said, putting the helmet on his head, backwards.
“I think he likes it.”, Mai said.
“Where’d you get that?”, Katara asked.
“Toy store.”, Mai said.
“Bip!”, Zorron said, trying to get on his new tricycle.
“Not right now, buddy.”, Zuko said, lifting Zorron off his tricycle, “You’ve got more presents to open.”
“Peasants!”, Zorron said.

Mai and Zuko were putting Zorron to bed.
“Did you have a good birthday?”, Zuko asked.
“Yeah!”, Zorron said, clutching the stuffed puppy Hakoda and Ursa got him.
“Was your birthday cake yummy?”, Mai asked.
“Yeah!”, Zorron said.
“Are you gonna ride your new bike, tomorrow?”, Zuko asked.
“Yeah!”, Zorron said, “Bip!”
Mai and Zuko kissed him goodnight.
“Goodnight, Zorron.”, Mai said, “We love you.”
“I uh ooh.”, Zorron said.
Mai and Zuko smiled.
“Oh, Zorron.”, Mai said, “How old are you?”
“One!”, Zorron said, holing up one finger.
Mai and Zuko smiled again.
“Goodnight.”, Mai said.
